EARLY WW2 German 98k Mauser JP Sauer 1936 S/147 & MATCHING!
This is a rare opportunity to own an EARLY WW2 German Rifle that is all matching! Built in 1936 at J.P. Sauer who were using the secret code "S/147" at the time. This rifle saw 9 years of service in WW2, and that is what is so rare about finding this rifle. It survived intact and matching, and un messed with! While the rifle does show wear it is honest war time use, not post war abuse. Each and every part that should be numbered is numbered and numbered to match as it should be. The stock shows some wear and use but the cartouches are still visible and correct. The action is butter smooth and crisp as is correct and to be expected on an early 98k... Much smoother than the late war examples that one commonly runs across. The bore on this example is bright and tight at the muzzle but does show some wear, and a small amount of pitting at the muzzle end. Despite this it should prove to be an excellent shooter. PLEASE zoom in on the pictures and take a good look at this VERY NICE early 98k rifle. They are so hard to find this early, and this nice considering all the battles and combat such weapons saw!
