NRA/CMP Remington 1903A3 Raritan Arsenal Rebuild & Paperwork!
This STUNNING condition US Model 1903A3 has a fun history! After WW2 it was sent to the Raritan Arsenal in New Jersey where it was rebuilt. From this rebuild it wears the "RA-P" Stock cartouche. After the rebuild they were held in storage until the early 1960's when a deal was struck with the CMP (Civilian Marksmanship Program) and the NRA. Qualified buyers could purchase one of these rifles through the NRA direct from the arsenal. This minty example has the paperwork showing it was purchased in September of 1960 through the NRA for the pricey sum of $10 plus $4.50 shipping! This rifle is mint, with an amazing bore that gauges at the muzzle less than 1, and near perfect stock. Showing only a few hints of wear or use since purchased it is truly amazing! It comes with the original Arsenal shipping paperwork, and the NRA order confirmation to the original owner. It also comes withthe sling shown. You will not be disappointed with this rifle!!!!!
