Here is a decent old Australian Enfield dated 1945 and made at the Lithgow Arsenal. It has a very discreet import marking on the right receiver, and has matching numbers... With a story. The bolt, receiver, front wood all match, but the nose cap/bayonet lug that should match have a slightly different number. Instead of number F 34387 it is numbered F 34578. We think this is a factory mistake... Either somebody misread the numbers when stamping them, or two rifles very close together on the assembly line got a part mismatched. The Coach Wood stock shows some wear and dings and dents and the metal a little wear. The bore is strong but a little frosted and a bit dark in the grooves but is tight at the muzzle and should shoot just fine. It comes with a decent 1944 dated reproduction sling shown. These Australian issue Enfields are getting harder to find and have not been imported for decades,
