WW2 German Walther P 38 AC 42 With Holster & 2 Mags
Here is a wonderful Souvenir of WW2! This early Walther P 38 Pistol comes from a local estate and has with it an original WW2 German Holster, and two correct Magazines. Built in the Walther plant in early 1942 this classic 9mm pistol has survived the war in very nice condition. No safe queen, this example saw use, and shows touches of holster wear along the usual sharp edges. The two magazines are both WaffenAmpt 359 marked, as well as marked on the side "P 38" making them correct issue mags for this variation of P 38! The holster shows use as well, but is solid and has no issues or loose stitching. It is marked with the original German WW2 markings of "fkx 4" and "P 38" on the back. An added interesting feature of the holster is that it has a name lightly scratched onto the back that reads "Mayer". We know this is not the name of the GI who brought it home, so we assume it was the name of the former German owner. The bore on this one is very nice, shiny and bright with a touch of wear, and both mags are functional, with one showing a bit less bluing and some light rust staining. The numbers on the pistol all match, and it has been stored for years in a cedar chest between blankets! This is a REALLY NICE example of an Early German P 38!
