Mosin Nagant M1891/59 Short Rifle 7.62x54r
Nice Mosin Nagant Model 1891/59. The origins of these shorty Mosins is a bit unknown. These were made from Model 91 and Model 91/30 rifles, that were cut down to Model 38 Carbine lengths post WW2. They still retain the rifle rear sight, and are all marked with a new model designation "1891/59. Some think they were done in Czechoslovakia, and some think Bulgaria. Nobody seems to know for sure where they were shortened. This one has all matching numbers, and a bright and sharp bore. Bluing is about 95% It comes with a nice sling that is not of Russian origin, and might be Polish? But we are not sure. A Nice example of these mysterious little carbines.
